Finder - Catalog Nodes

Overview

This plugin is responsible for indexing the content in JXtended Catalog.  It performs the following operations:

• Indexes the item's abstract and body fields.
• Indexes the item's meta description and meta keywords.
• Indexes the item's list-based attributes (optional, see parameters).
• Indexes the item's free-form attributes (optional, see parameters).
• Adds any categories that the items are mapped to the Finder taxonomy system.

Parameters

This plugin has the following parameters.

• Index List Based Attributes - Toggles whether list based attributes (those that are defined in using Catalog's list system) are to be added to the Finder Taxonomy system (see Maps and Branches)
• Index Free-form Attributes - Toggles whether to index the values of free-form attributes.  These are custom attributes not relalated to lists, for example, text fields, text area fields, and so on.
• Description Style - Provides a number of different ways that the description (that is displayed in the search results) can be displayed.
• Description Attributes - If the Description Style is set to Custom Attributes, this allows you to defined a comma separated list of custom attributes that will form the description.  You must use the field name that you used in the class.

The Finder System Plugin includes the appropriate triggers for reindexing Catalog Items when they are saved.
