Beta 2 Site Launched

Welcome to the Beta 2 launch of the JXtended Web site.

It's taken a while but we decided to give everyone on the Beta program a special sneak peek at our new site. We still have a few things to iron out but we'd like your feedback on what we have done so far. Does the site look good? Is the information arranged in a logical fashion? We'd like to hear about anything else that you think could do with an improvement before we do the official launch which will happen in the next few weeks.

Just so you know, we are still working on these major parts of the site:

  • The home page needs work - any suggestions?
  • We are still working some login/logout problems with the Forum bridge so it remains offline.
  • The Knowledge Base is currently empty and needs a switch to detect if you are logged in (it tells you to whether you are or are not).
  • Documentation is still being compiled.
  • The store/payment system is not quite finished.
  • The user account/profile area is also not quite finished.

So please leave your comments and critiques with this article or use the Contact form if you want to discuss any other matters.

  1. Comments should work now. Applied fix that is coming in Joomla! 1.5.2
  2. Hi, Site looks great! One quick comment: Breadcrumbs are incomplete for individual product pages. For instance, the breadcrumb on the comments page only shows Home > Comments. There's no breadcrumb or other link to go back to Publishing or Solutions without using the browser's back button.
  3. Yes, the site looks good. Easy on the eye, clear and uncluttered, maybe too much so, a few well chosen graphics or images would go a long way. I noticed a glitch with the logo in Safari Mac. The logo graphic extends a couple of pixels below the white header area into the green fade. I like the Solutions idea, but the solutions offered need to jump out more - the right column menu should be bolder/brighter - too much hunting for what the page is about. Perhaps the green fade kind of hides it as well, just blends it in with the rest of the page directing the eye downwards before you register that that is where you need to look.
  4. hey, the comments are working really nicely! But why the "this comment" link to the comment directly below? Seems not to make sense?
  5. It's something I borrow from another system I saw. If we had 100 comments here it means you could email that link to a friend to just to the comment you wanted to highlight. Thanks for the feedback as well. Muchly appreciated.
  6. The site is looking great so far! Can't wait to see you guys go live so that the rest of the world can really start enjoying your extensions like I am!
  7. Nice site and hopefully much needed extension. Looking forward to the labels component
