Welcome to the JXtended Beta Site
Welcome to our beta site. As you will notice, things are still undergoing construction.
Our Forum is still coming (we found a few glitches in RokBridge that we are attending to). Our priority has been to re-establish the availability of products, and to reformat them into installable packages.
Support is via email (use andrew.eddie@jxtended.com for now) until the forum is online.
As you browse, you'll see our product range has been renamed as follows:
- RokACL becomes Control
- RokCodeIt becomes Engineer
- RokComment becomes Comments
- RokExchange becomes Exchange
- RokLabel becomes Tags
- RokPolisher becomes Tidy
- RokTodo becoms Filler
- RokThings becomes Catalog
- RokZine becomes Magazine
We also have a new free product available called Logger. This is a useful little tool that logs Contact Us form submissions to a database. It also has the ability to collect extra information in special fields. It's great for keeping track when your mail facilities on your server go down.
Another addition is the JXtended Libraries plugin. This is a unique set of libraries (we don't know anyone else that does this) which is a collection of Louis', Rob's and my own years of developer experience and makes our products what they are. You will need to install this plugin to run any of our products.
One of the exciting things about our new site is that we are building a document management system from the ground up, fully integrated with our ACL system (Control). This system is handling all the downloads. Control now has the ability to create new user groups, and also new content access levels (more than just Public, Registered and Special). You will hear more about both products during 2008 as work progresses and we move to integrate ACL into the Magazine and Catalog extensions. Very exciting times.
As you will see if you take a wander about our site that we also have a few more extensions in the making:
- Finder - a full text indexing system, much better than the built in Joomla! search engine
- Survey - simple surveys
And there are more on the way. Our aim is that by 2009, you don't have to go anywhere else to build your Joomla! websites - we'll have everything you need (ok, maybe not everything but pretty close).
Something else unique to JXtended is our new multi-installer system. Extensions like Magazine or Logger are made up of multiple extensions. With our new packages you can install them all in one upload (for example Magazine is one component, five modules and one plugin). This is just one of the ways we are trying to make it simpler for you to manage your sites and save you time.
