JXtended Finder 1.1.1 Stable Released
Advanced search for VirtueMart products has arrived! JXtended Finder 1.1.1 for Joomla!™ adds support for indexing and searching VirtueMart products. One of the most important things any e-commerce site can have to increase sales is a robust search so customers can find exactly what they are looking for. You can let your customers search the products in your VirtueMart store and filter those results on category or manufacturer with the latest version of JXtended Finder for Joomla!
Now!
The larger your Web site the more search is necessary and the longer it takes to index your content. You asked for a way to have the index update itself automatically and we listened! Available starting with JXtended Finder 1.1.1 is a command line application that your server can execute in regular time intervals to ensure your site's search engine index is always up to date.
With this release of JXtended Finder we have also expanded our support for searching by dates. Users can now filter their searching of Joomla! articles, DOCman documents as well as JXtended Magazine articles and issues by start and end dates.
The future of Joomla! search is coming...
We are also hard at work on the next version of our advanced search
engine. The next version of JXtended Finder adds new integrations to
popular Joomla! extensions such as
K2 by JoomlaWorks and
Zoo by YOOtheme™ among others. We are also adding an AJAX based keyword
suggestion and a completely redesigned and much improved indexing
algorithm for more accurate search results. Keep an eye on
our blog or follow us on twitter
for more information and the big release announcement!
Please note that this version requires Joomla 1.5.10 or later and is the last PHP 4.x compatible version of Finder. All versions released after this will require PHP 5.2 or later.
All subscribers are advised to upgrade and can download the package in the JXtended Downloads section.

thanks
Hey, I am having a Joomla-based blog built for me. To clarify, I am a total noob with respect to Joomla or programing, though I know a fair amount about SEO.
What type of applications will I need for my blog to have a site-map generator, be able to do pingbacks/trackbacks, and have some type of SEO pack?
Again, I don't know a thing about programming, so I hope that these will be easy to install/use.
thanks,
Greg
