How It All Works
The JXtended way of doing things is probably a little different than you are used to seeing when purchasing Joomla!™ extensions. We offer registered members both free and commerical extensions. Commercial extensions are paid for by using credits.
Memberships
Signing up for a JXtended membership is the first step to extending and empowering your Joomla! based Web site. Our members get access to a wide variety of Joomla! extensions that we provide free of charge. We provide online support forums for our free extensions to all registered members. Members can also purchase credits and subscribe to our commercial extensions.
Subscriptions
When you purchase one of our commercial extensions, you are buying a subscription which includes access to software downloads, documentation resources and online forum support. You get access to all of these things for a period of one year for that initial price. At the end of the year, you have the option of renewing your subscription for a reduced price or not renewing your subscription. Even if you decide not to renew your subscription you may use your extension forever. Only registered members with active subscriptions will get software updates and access to support services for our commercial extensions. We keep the renewal fee low so that it makes sense for you to keep your subscriptions active.
Credits
All products and services at JXtended are purchased using credits. Registered members can purchase credits at any time - simply go to your account page to make a purchase. The maximum price for a credit is $10.00 USD, but the system is designed so that the more credits you buy at a time the cheaper they become. For example, if you purchase a 10 credit pack, you get a discount of $1.00 USD per credit so that you actually get 10 credits for the price of 9. You never have to buy more credits than you want, but if you think you will purchase a number of items this discount will save you money. All credit purchases are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
